What is your return and exchange policy? ​

We stand behind our products. If you're items are damaged or otherwise compromised we will replace your order or offer store credit. You may be asked to return the damaged product or provide photos.

If you are unhappy for any other reason, please reach out to us at sos@captainblankenship.com and we will be able to help you. This guarantee applies to any product bought directly from captainblankenship.com. We cannot provide exchanges, refunds or replacements for items without an associated order number, or purchased from a retailer. 

We are a very small business, with high operating costs. All refunds will only be processed after product is returned whether opened or unopened. Refunds are provided on a case by case basis. We cannot provide refunds for items you have ordered on a trial basis. Please order our small mini sizes if you are unsure about how a product will work for you, we have most products in smaller sizes for trials. We can also assist you in your purchase so you will choose the best products for your hair, just reach out to us at sos@captainblankenship.com. 

We cannot cancel orders once they have been placed, as our fulfillment company may have already packed them. 

 

How do you ship?

We choose the most economical option to ship domestically (either USPS or FedEx) for free shipping orders. Otherwise, your rate will be calculated during checkout and you can choose the rate and service you prefer. 

 

Do you ship internationally?

We do not currently ship internationally through our website, but we do work with international stockists who you can locate under our stores page.

 

How long will it take to fill my order?

Orders will be filled within 24 hours and should ship within 24-48 hours. Shipping times may vary based on location. 

 

What is the ​expected ​shelf life of your products?

While they can last for a very long time, the scent of products might start to fade or shift after 6-12 months. The only preservatives we use in our products are natural ones such as Non-GMO Vitamin E, Rosemary Antioxidant and Essential Oils.

 

Are your products​ or ​ingredients tested on animals​?​

Never. We are a cruelty-free company.​ Our products are certified by Leaping Bunny.

 

What type of packing materials do you use?

We purchase recyclable shipping and packing materials.

 

Are your products Vegan?

All of our products are vegan except for our Lime and Vetiver deodorant which contains beeswax. 

 

Can I send back my bottle for refill?

​In the future, we hope so! For now, we hope you can reuse your beautiful cobalt glass bottle or jar or metal tin creatively. We find that the blue glass bottles make lovely single stem flower holders, the jars can hold salt or spices. 

 

Are your products certified organic?

Our products are not certified organic, but many of the ingredients we use are. You can learn more about the certifications we do hold here
